The price of the opioid crisis continues to grow. While the human toll is evident, we are now learning that man’s best friend is also suffering from overdoses. This has forced police departments to carry naloxone for their K9 partners. Yet sadly, many police departments cannot afford this life-saving drug.
Enter Nate King of Texas and the nonprofit K9s of Valor, which provides, naloxone and K9 care packages to police departments free of charge. These animals protect us and help save our lives, so it is imperative that we help save theirs.
